I was going to tell you a story about how I went to Toronto last January and there was an exhibition of little-known-about pottery by Dali, but then I remembered it was Picasso. Oh well.
And then I wanted to tell you about how when I was applying for Vic One we had to write and "essay," but it was only allowed to be 300 words and the topic I chose was Why the Government Should Support the Arts, and I went on this long, non-acedemic, bitchy rant about how the arts were important but nobody cared, but then I had to shorten it by more than half because it was way too long. And I think they only let me in despite my crappy application essay because everyone else who applied was a scienc-type whose essay sucked more. That's the only reasonable explanation.
