It's funny. I know I'm lonely, but as soon as anyone else says anything about it, I get really defensive. I really need to learn to let my guard down a little and be friendly. I just have no social skills

If you are lonely you may still call Will. You do have social skills, you just need to put them into use.

I ALWAYS try to look people in the eyes when i'm having a conversation with them. It shows you are paying attention and care what they have to say. There is no hard fast way to start doing it, other than possibly starting small.
