I got a job at a local restaurant. It's not much, just part time waitress, but it will bring in some money until I can find something better

Sounds like a dine & dash to me!

I don't know if it's just a statewide law where I live, but here anyway, it's illegal for a job to garnish wages to recoup lost expenses like that. Those type of things happen from time to time. Unless, of course, it's an ongoing problem.

You should look into it, because a lot of bosses will try , if they think they can get away with it. Even here still, where it's highly illegal.

I had a friend whose boss was doing this to him when customers wrote bad checks (this was before check scan). My last boss would garnish an hour here & there off people's schedules randomly.

oh man, i have NEVER done the dine and dash! evil. seriously, do they think restaurants don't depend on money to keep running? ugh!

boyfriend has a compaq laptop from that price range (less than a year old, i don't know anything about laptops) but he says it's awesome and the few times he's let me touch it i've found it to be pretty awesome....

Yeah, I've given sims 3 a fair go, and honestly, the more I play, the less impressed I get. It's annoying and user un-friendly.
