At last, some good news!

I got a letter yesterday from the unemployment commission. It contained a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo, but from what I could decipher, The unemployment commission agreed with me that refusing to leave a small child home alone in the middle of the night was acceptable reason for quitting. Ha! I don't even bother reading letters like that. My mom is more versed in their lingo, so I just ask her to translate. :P
I wish you luck with the job searching!

I'm thinking of applying to Uni for a bachelor of Creative Arts next year, but I doubt I'll be able to get high enough marks in the course I'm doing now to get a place, lol.

Apply anyway. Worst they can do is say no, and there's always other colleges.

Hmm, I've never heard of that law & I have had places tell me "sorry" they weren't hiring. Maybe it's a state law for where you live? Anyhow, good luck with the hunt. Thank goodness you can breathe a little now too, with the unemployment kicking in.

I was told it was part of the anti-discrimination laws, but it could have just been on the state level. I'm not sure.

It might even be something new since I last looked or worked. I've had some employers say to withold from giving them out to people for this or that reason. Complete BS!!!
