“If one more person asks me about Ke$ha, I think I might scream.” Tommy declared as he climbed on the bus and saw Adam lounging.
“Asks you what about Ke$ha?” Adam asked nonchalantly.
“Tommy, how do you feel about Adam kissing Ke$ha?” Tommy inquired in a fake reporter voice.
“I don’t get what the big deal is. It happened a while ago. Why should they ask you about it anyway?” Adam questioned.
“It’s a big deal to them because you’re gay and she’s a girl and they think we’re together because you kiss me all the time.” Tommy told him.
“I still don’t think that it’s a big deal. Ke$ha and I kissed. It’s not like we fucked.” Adam responded.
“You might as well have.” Tommy huffed as he sat down next to Adam.
“Are you mad because they keep asking you about it or because I kissed her or because I kiss you?” Adam asked as he looked over at Tommy.
“I’m mad that they keep asking about it. I don’t care if you kissed her and I don’t care that you kiss me. I told you that whatever we do onstage is fine with me.” Tommy replied with his anger dissipating a little.
“I know, but sometimes I feel bad about it. I mean I enjoy kissing you. You’re a really good kisser.” Adam started to say.
“You’re a good kisser too.” Tommy interrupted quietly.
Adam smiled to himself.
“It’s just that I know you’re straight and I know that by fooling around with you onstage we make people talk and speculate about us…about your sexuality. It isn’t exactly what you signed on for. I would totally understand if you didn’t want to do it anymore.” Adam explained.
“Of course, I still want to kiss you. Adam, I can handle whatever people say about me…about my sexuality…about us. We know the truth and that is all that really matters. I just get angry sometimes and need to vent.” Tommy assured him as he reached over and placed his hand on Adam’s leg.
“Okay, but if you change your mind, you just tell me. I don’t want you to think that you have to do anything that you aren’t comfortable with just because I’m your…” Adam rambled.
Tommy leaned over and pressed his lips to Adam’s lips in an effort to get him to stop talking. Adam’s mouth was open so Tommy slipped his tongue inside. It felt good to be kissing Adam in private just like it felt when they kissed onstage. Maybe it felt even a little bit better because they didn’t have to share the moment with hundreds of screaming fans.
When they broke the kiss, Tommy stayed in Adam’s personal space. Adam was in no hurry to move away from Tommy either.
“Do you really want this, Tommy?” Adam asked after a few moments.
“I want to explore the possibilities with you. I can’t make you any promises of forever, but I can promise that this is something I want to try.” Tommy answered.
“I want to try too.” Adam whispered before leaning in and taking Tommy’s lips again.
