To be fair I liked Twilight when I first read it because I flew through and read a book a day and didn't really think about it as I read. Then I spent a year teaching and seeing off the the kids reading it and realizing the lessons they were taking from the book really opened my eyes to how negative it is.
I have read them all and seen all the films, but my problem is the same as yours. It's incredible how much power a popular book can have to teach people the wrong ideas.
Thank you for your list! I've bookmarked it and I am going to sift through it. I love discovering a book(s) from someone else that I might not normally pick up. *Grin* It will be fun trading book reviews.
