Went to lunch with a coworker today. The bill came out to $10.80 and I had them swipe my credit card. When I went to sign the bill, I saw they had charged me $0.80. Opps.

If I was a better person, I would have told them they made a mistake, paid the correct amount and felt smug in my accumulation of karma points. Good thing I never claimed to be ( Read more... )

I've worked in the food industry before, so I will always tell them that they made a mistake. My "good" fortune is their bad fortune, because someone will have to cover that money lost. I hope you at least left a good tip!

i would mention the mistake, especially if it's a smaller independent place, or one i plan on retuning to.
i have seen first hand the benefits of getting the karma points.
