Japan in crisis, worsening every day but never fear. Karl Stefanovic has been sent over.

From the mines of NZ to the muddy tsunami crushed towns in Japan, is there nowhere they wont send this odious little man, inflicting the worst of Australia on the world, just for us at home.

Maybe he's going over to lighten the mood. Isn't that what a clown is for?
The guy is perfect for morning TV, but he should never ever be confused with a journalist

I have a nasty habit of using the Today programme as a timer in the mornings, i know from various segment timing, what i need to be doing. That awful man had me turning off my television in disgust at his attempt to report on Japan - rehashing old footage, crawling through the mud pointing to bits of clothing and mawkishly asking "who's shoe is that? What child wore that?" News we had all heard reported, adding nothing new, advising us of nothing we needed to hear, just getting in the way of real reporting.

The man cannot be taken seriously, youre right. Long standing foreign correspondents, familiar with the country, the etiquette, and with actual journalism must be cringing with embarrasment to have that idiot counted among them at this time. He is a sad indictment at the lack of professionalism and the standard the profession has fallen to for the sake of commercial television.

tabloid journalism at it's peak with all these disasters. i've stopped watching news reports, i get snippets of news on twitter and if i want to find out more, i'll look. but i'm over all the media hype they are creating out of tragedies.

My heart goes out to just about every country that has suffered tragedies this year. Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil and many many more......

yes, spot on. Creating news for the sake of it, little to no actual information, all speculative and sensationalised. As if it needs any more hype!

Love it. He did the RAK thing with us at Greg's place and he was just so fake and couldn't make friendly conversation with any of us. It was all for the camera.

He's not the only one that is pissing me off. All the commercial TV reporters are pathetic about it. I've been watching Ch 24 ABC News, and even that's getting repetitive.

It's just so overwhelmingly sad. The tragedy of it is in our face. We don't need the obvious stated by half measure journalists.

My sister has been more busy with Charlie Sheen. Pretty much any update on him by a NewsCore author was written by her.
