I arrived at the station today to find a note left for Lachie by the 'Met Dogs' (sorry Authorised Officers) and it was for an order of jam! I had left some of my jam for the station staff but had no idea the transit cops were enjoying my produce

Mare - that's great & you should be charging for your lovely produce.

I shared some jam with friends on Sunday, and they loved it ... asked where I BROUGHT it !

But I'm not sharing the peaches !

I just found out that the Hursty Eltham section of line is cited in wiki as an example of staff and ticket system. I was looking to see how common it still was. (I had my 6th or 7th birtday pressent as a ride from Yandina to Gympie in a loco pulling some freight and remember clearly throwing out one staff and collecting the other.) Good pressent for a little girl :)
