The sodium vapour lamp glared at me as I looked out of the window. I felt comfortable in the shadow. It's late in the night; the bus stops, the road is empty and I see one lean man cross the road walking towards us. He is smoking a cigarette. While reading your post, I stopped to recollect my first memory. And you know what, I can't! It's vague... it's not clear. And I realized the relevance of this post.

It was the sodium lamp that I always looked at to see if it was raining-drizzling, the droplets brightened by the light. And then the evenings of endless fascination when the moths were drawn to it.

The earliest few inches of my childhood come to me in shocks and spasms.. I remember fleeting moments that have lasted me a lifetime.

The joy and sorrow of my world.. I remember watching the hands of a wall clock and wondering if I'd ever live long enough to see the hour pass me by. Strange things affect us in strange ways.

I loved your post. Got me thinking.... And you know what? I'm not gonna stop till I have leeched my own post out of this. :)

Our childhood turned us into what we are today.. Give or take a little genetics of course. :)

I can't really say what my first memory is. I remember bits and pieces, but they don't really have a time frame.
