Landhausmode

I have sixteen vintage silvertone edelweiss buttons on their way, probably intended for some sort of dirndl or landhausmode garment, so I've been sketching a little. Not sure I really want to do anything this dirndl-y, though, it might be a little too twee even for me. It's also very me ten years ago, which I'm not quite comfortable with.

While on purely selfish sentimental grounds I want to see ALL women in dirndl, I think they would look especially fantastic on you. Even if it is more a "dirndl-themed outfit" and less something Heidi would wear.

And I should hardly have to tell you that worries about "dignity" aren't becoming...most of the world is crass by accident, and in a way that is boring. You, my dear, are crass with elegance and classic style. A world of difference:)

Oh, I don't have any dignity at all when it comes to clothes - I am thoroughly vulgar. :) I suspect I'll be wearing animal prints and fur in my 50's.
Isn't lederhosen more interesting than dirndl, though? I tend to think so, but that's probably just because wearing something dirndl-inspired would be easy for me, while pulling off lederhosen would difficult, so they are much more of a challenge.

I think the design is absolutely beautiful! Ok, so I'm going to just send you my measurements and let me know how much $ and you can make me one as well:D I wish i could find dresses with such a flattering and feminine shape here, you know that weren't soooooo expensive. It's simple but beautiful, figure flattering but, not vulgar, I really like it. On the above comment I think I'll be doing the same in my 50's, keeping it sassy classy!
