[There are sounds of button pressing and general ruffling before the video pops on to show the face of a rather irritated James. He stares at the camera for a few moments before the distinct sound of a long drawn out 'SLOOOOOW' is heard, which causes him to look in the direction it came from with annoyance, before a look of almost terror replaces ( Read more... )

[Okay. Well, at first, Heather was just... watching. And pretty amused at the poor guy getting thoroughly owned by what she'd figured out (in the week or so she'd been here) was the most retarded creature anyone had encountered so far). She was bored as hell working at the Center in Cherrygrove so stupid comic relief coming in through her Pokegear was appreciated. It was no sitcom or anything, but hey, beggars couldn't be choosers.]

[But then, he said two VERY important words, beginning with 'S' and 'H'.]

... Whoa. Um. Okay. I haven't seen your wife or anything, but I need you to tell me right now how you're associated with Silent Hill.

Because depending on what you say, I might freak out.

[She sounds more serious about this than on ANY subject she has talked about with other people on this stupid adventure.]

[James was actually surprised that the first response was from someone who immediately knew about Silent Hill--but her tone seemed rather serious. As if she had some sort of grudge against the place. And to be honest, James couldn't blame her with how strange it had become]

Well I umm. It's a very important place to me... Why? I mean... what about my possible association with it would cause you to freak out?

[Now James was tiptoeing around to see where this conversation would go. He didn't want to be the cause of a freak out, but he didn't want to exactly seem crazy by saying anything that didn't need to be said. Like how the town was infested by monsters and how he actually could understand why one would freak out when it came to the town of Silent Hill.]

[A grudge? That was putting it lightly. The poor man had only just gotten a taste before this of the true scope of horror that place had to offer-- not that Heather knew this, of course. The thing that sent her heart racing right now was the big 'What If?' If he was involved with Silent Hill, that could mean a lot of things. Bad things.]

[There's a suspicious pause on Heather's end. This guy doesn't sound eerie or condescending like pretty much every member of the cult she had met... but how could she tell for sure? She'd trusted Leonard at first, too...]

... Okay, let's just say that if you say anything about God, or the coming of Paradise, I'm gonna freak. No offense if the place is special to you for some reason, but it's dangerous.

[She's not sure she wants to bring up the cult specifically-- what he is part of it and that gives her identity away? She doesn't want another case like last time... or god forbid, another Stanley. But... well, he looks normal... and sounds sad and scared. Not .... creepy. Whatever. She'll plunge ( ... )

God? Coming of--What are you even talking about? I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about when it comes to that, at least from me anyway.

[Of course it was dangerous, it hadn't always been that way, but since he had arrived there earlier that morning... Or was it even the same day anymore? Who knew, he certainly didn't]

[Cult? Yeah James had heard about the town's odd history before when he and Mary had visited it, but he had never really thought much of it--let alone thought it had a cult.]

And I'm not a part of any cult, hell I'm not even what someone would call religious so again, nothing to worry about.

[There was a pause as he thought over her question, it wasn't anything difficult to answer, well in the sense that he knew what to say]

My wife, she sent me a letter telling me she's waiting for me there. I was in the middle of trying to find her when I ended up here some how.

[Of course James left out the important fact that the woman is deadSo, hey! If you know about Silent Hill, do you possibly know how to get ( ... )

It really is. I think it's a dream though.

Maybe you should focus on one thing at a time, Mister.

This feels as real as anything else. At least it does to me. And if it is all a dream, that would be a relief.

I'll try my best to do that.
