Okay! |D Well, going on the assumption that you don't know Silence's (rather obscure) canon - he's a mystic (think a vampire, but one not so much obligated as occasionally inclined to drink blood) from a game called SaGa Frontier! He has large swallowtail butterfly wings on his back for reasons that are never explained, and he's also mute; he can't talk at all. |D And he works as, of all things, a patrol officer - so he's essentially a vampire cop.
Obviously, as a cop, the last thing he'd be inclined to do is murder someone, much less a young girl. :|a (Besides, he's a fairly pleasant guy in general; unlike a lot of mystics, he's spent most of his long life around humans.) So Iris is pretty much guaranteed safe from him! He's not going to make any attempt on her...although given that his closest friend is being threatened, he'll be very nervous about refusing to fulfill his contract. But he still won't be able to bring himself to, regardless~
