Actually started this ages ago and am currently 11 films behind *wince* and that's not including the 3 weeks I had no access to films/ the internet.
Info on the challenge
here I'm cheating and including any films I watch because I find it difficult to constantly find new films, especially ones that interest me. Although I am trying. Recs are more than welcome :D
(001/365)
Elizabethtown (2005)
About: During an outrageous memorial for a Southern patriarch, an unexpected romance blooms between a young woman and man.
My Thoughts: Expected to either hate it or just find it boring in general. Although it started off slow it actually turned out to be a pretty awesome film. I’m not even entirely sure why I liked it other than it was funny, different and upbeat. I usually dislike Bloom but this film actually made me like him. Starting to see what others see in him.

Sherlock Jr. (1924)
About: A film projectionist longs to be a detective, and puts his meagre skills to work when he is framed by a rival for stealing his girlfriend’s father’s pocketwatch.
My Thoughts: This film may be almost 70yrs older than me but damn it was fun to watch. Actually the first black and white + silent film I’ve watched (not gonna count The Artist as one) and it was far better than I expected. Some scenes made zero sense and were clearly there for comic affect but they were funny. It’s just generally 44mins of sillyness. I adore the shadow scene. All of the awards to Buster Keaton.

Eight Below (2006)
About: Brutal cold forces two Antarctic explorers to leave their team of sled dogs behind as they fend for their survival.
My Thoughts: I absolutely adore this film. It made me cry numerous times but overall it was a happy one. I’m very much a dog person and I understand his attachment to is dogs and how difficult it must have been to be stranded from them. ALL THE FEELS.

Johnny English Reborn (2011)
My Thoughts: Both liked and hated it. One thing that really bugged me was how they showed Pegasus was juggling a work life with being a mother. That isn’t showing a strong woman because the same attention wouldn’t be given to a man. That’s just kinda stereotyping again. Oh lord I have not voiced my thoughts in an understandable way at all… One thing I did like about this film? Killer cleaner lady xD

The Three Musketeers (2011)
About: The hot-headed young D’Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.
My Thoughts: Well going to have to try to contain my fangirling because although I hadn’t heard anything good about this film it turned out to be fuckin excellent. The fact I’m quite a Musketeer fan probably attributed to that but hsdjfhjdg. Some of the scenes seemed a bit over the top with slow mo but it was released in 3D so I suppos ethat’s what they were actually designed for. The actingw as brilliant and I’m a new fan to some of teh actors, eg Juno. Also Matthew Macfadyen *fans self* Milady was awesome as well, despite the fact they used the ‘women are man’s downfall’ plot point she is awesome, intelligent, independent and strong. She’s pretty much this film’s Adler. Def recommend.

(006/365)
The Princess Bride (1987)
About: A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).
My Thoughts: I’ve been meaning to watch it for some time as a few people I know have claimed it’s a must watch and I agree with them. It’s both entertaining and hilarious. Plus references are quite often made to it (eg You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means). The fact I adore Cary Elwes helps.

Charlie’s Angels (2000)
About: Three women, detectives with a mysterious boss, retrieve stolen voice-ID software, using martial arts, tech skills, and sex appeal.
My Thoughts: Quite enjoyed it, had a few laughs but men were pretty pathetic in it. Free sex? Seems legit! Love Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. (on a side note: I think Lucy Liu would actually suit the role of fem!Sherlock in Elementary more than fem!Watson)
