W-well, actually, they're called Producers. They compose the songs we sing or direct the videos we perform. Our purpose is to sing and entertain our fans. They... they kind of helps us, I guess. Because we can't sing our own songs.

[Nervous laughter. He can tell she doesn't really like the sound of it all.] Um. If it helps, Miss Hale, I've never had a Master mistreat me. Maybe get a little frustrated, but never anything bad.

I can sing any genre -- rock, pop, kids songs. Most people say I'm better at pop ballads, though.

How come you can't sing without a "user"?

Well... The songs have to be uploaded into the database in the proper format. Otherwise, even if I hear a melody and can read the lyrics, I can't sing it.

We weren't programmed to write our own songs. So we depend on the Producers to compose new ones for us.

I'm not sure. [Thinks it over some more.] Right now someone is trying to edit songs without paying the company, but that's--

...maybe. Maybe they could, but I've never tried before. I've never asked.
