As for the lack-of-internet thing, if you check the "troubleshooting" section of the user guide, the first suggestion is usually to check the cables and plugs. This leads me to believe an ulterior motive was involved, like turning a trip to the Apple Store into a compulsory activity.

I did want to go to Hawaii with molecularman49, but I think it was a combination of the lack of Frequent-Flyer miles and the large, heavy textbooks I would have to bring along that kept me in California.

Ulterior motive? No comment... ; )

And, uh, a contributing factor to my own recent, expensive, visit to the Apple Store!
