I just read about the new series! I think this time round I'm going to avoid the fandom and just look forward to it. I'm hoping there's a chance we'll see an old Toph or Sokka, cos that'd be awesome. :D

Edit: So my curiousity got the better of me and I looked in at avatar_fans. Apparently, I didn't pay that much attention to the fandom the first time round, cos I had no idea there was such a following for that pairing! XD

Man, dear shippers, it's ok to have a canon ship, it's ok that it's not yours, gtfover it.

I don't really blame the creators, but I think their shipbaiting did make some expectation in some fans' minds that they wouldn't canonize anything. I prefer different ships, but Sokka/Suki and Aang/Katara and Zuko/Mei are canon. I think it's the line between people who ship ships that are like 'theoretically possible' vs people who ship the never gonna happen ships, you get different expectations and they make you crankier than when you go in knowing your ship will never happen.
