Last night was probably the most I've ever stressed out. My first night since the guy I'm replacing at FedEx left. I got there a little early to find that my manager (the guy that makes sure I don't screw up) wasn't there and wouldn't be there all night

It wasn't his fault. He had to go to Tallahassee on very short notice. I just wish he would have called me. But success occurred none the less!

Just hang in there. FedEx is our word for stress. You have it easy compared to what Dad has to do. At least you don't have to load your own truck in all kinds of weather, drive that 20 ton truck 200 miles a day, scan tons of packages, worry about lates, squeeze a 1 hr. break in somewhere, deal with dogs that want to eat you alive, deal with people that can't even sign their name or come to the door so drunk they can hardly stand, and work your butt off for nearly ten hrs. or more a day. If you saw the tired look that's always in his eyes when he comes home, you wouldn't be complaining about the three hrs. you have to work just sorting packages. Be glad you get to see your dad for more than 3-4 hrs. a day.

I wasn't disrespectin' your dad; I hold your dad in the highest esteem. Neither was I complaining. I was merely putting down my day's thoughts and happenings.

I know you weren't trying to disrespect my dad. I was just trying to make you see how good you really have it. Next time you start to get stressed out about loading that one truck, think about what my dad goes through every day for 10 hrs. a day. You might find that one truck doesn't look so stressful after all.
