Whoa, I might understand that after next year. We dont do anything quite that complicated until Year 11 or 12.

Interestingly, there is no mathematical technique required. It looks like it ought to be a calculus problem but it isn't. It's as conceptually simple as proving that for a rectangle of given perimeter, area is maximised if it is, in fact, a square.
