We’ve been watching this horrible tragedy on the television. So sad for all the victims and the damage of their historic history. 😔 🙏

yes, i know, unfathomable, but there it is!
the vancouver flood was bad, but it wasn't this bad because it wasn't in the city
it was in the rural town of abbotsford out in the valley
here it was due to an atmospheric river that dumped much moisture quickly in one location
apparently brazil has had heavy rain for a week with 3 local rivers overflowing
unprecedented, far as we know...

how are you dealing with your own family tragedies?
how are the grandsons?
as a kid i had little understanding around people dying
into my adulthood, i still feel loss from that

not sure what can make it better
maybe not dwelling on it
here i am asking
duh

hope you are managing well
any tragedy is a hard pill to swallow
hugs

Now we’re hearing about the fires out west. As far as my family goes, we just take it day by day. Everyone handles tragedies differently. Spencer and Jack are doing great, school is almost over and baseball season has just begun. They are both getting good grades. For every A they get we pay them 10$ and for every B they get they get 5$ so they have a goal. Last year Spencer even received an A in French.

Unfortunately, it isn't too unusual today/ In Russia we have the same every year. As well as fires. I can't say that nobody cares, but still it happens too often:-( We have so many amazing technologies but we jast can't do anything with these disasters...

Fortunately no - as well as in St.Petersburg. Mostly it happens somewhere inside the country. Regularly - in some Far East, Siberian and Central districts.
