The ides (from the Latin word īdūs meaning to divide) was the fifteenth day of March, May, July, and October,
and the thirteenth day of the other months. Ides simply referred to the first full moon of a given month.
Since the Roman calendar was based on lunar cycles. Reminds me of Guy Fawkes Day, or Jan 6 !

yes, what goes around comes around
and that's often the way it plays out
shoot the bandit and a bigger one comes to take his place
so, what's the answer?
i think it would take a real tough nut to make peace with the criminals
and create a better place..
and the tough guys if they could be sided with, would be "protectors" of the realm
instead of criminals
so to speak
now what fantasy am i dreaming of?
