We drove through the Joshua Tree National Forest; it's like being on another planet, it's so strange looking.

yes, i can relate
some terrains on the planet are foreign to our home senses
ironic that you call it a 'forest', but as cactus goes, i guess that is so
imagine walking through the desert there, like in the old cowboy movies..
