When we had the smoke over here a short while ago, my air purifier inside ( which is a big, pricey HEPA thing) actually changed color to red, indicating that while I couldn't see anything, there were smoke particles in my house. Outside it was like a deep haze of smoke.

i was wondering about that, if the smoke was getting into the house as well,
given that the windows are single pane, i expect it was, but not that heavily
not to be noticeable. it was mostly outside
