That was an interesting story, the way it was first reported made the guy sound very shallow. But then it turned out this is how he makes his living, and that photograph on wikipedia was one of his best selling shots. So now I've done a complete 180 on it, and think yeah, he's got a point, Wiki should really take it down.

I think that because wikipedia is essentially an encyclopedia, they should not use someone's image without their permission, I agree they need to take it down. Especially because the image is quite iconic, you can't fault him for wanting to contain it and profit from it. The film is still the photographer's intellectual property, even if the ape took the photo.

I read about this too - really liked the pic, but shame on wiki.
