the prologue :

this reprint of an old dark sailing story, kind of like heart of darkness by joseph conrad, with the parallel story that appears in the margins is a dialogue between an "anonymous" literary writer researching this particular novel and a librarian who begins to dialogue with him in the margins of the library book. there are tons of memorabilia and letters, that contribute to the fabric of the story, which spans both past written and present writings between the two discussing the story.. come to think of it the story reminds me of the unrest in ukraine at the moment
