yeah, i think they're grasping at straws a couple were kind of barren places the big empty cities are often utopian failed attempts to control the world ))
It is "weird/scary" how a big city like some of those could just fail. :o Like the Chinese one, I am surprised they didn't just force people to move there so that it looks like they succeeded. :o

apparently china was going to move in masses of people, farmers off the land when they built 3 gorges damn, only they forgot to educate them, so they didn't know how to function in city life.. brazil had its utopic city too. brazilia

fordlandia in the amazon to make rubber tires from rubber tree plants!
how could that fail? the amount of tires in use today, is mind boggling
