that's strange, because i wasn't old enough then to be a hippy, i missed it by a few years, everything i learned about hippy was from hippies, it is hippy country where we live.. we sometimes call them granola crunchers..

in canada youth feel entitlement, world owes them living, they do not know work or responsibility. want everything now. older generations have long experience with hard work, interest and inflation after working all our lives and have nothing to show. all is being taken away through taxes and cost of living from economic recessions. most people fall behind and slide down the ladder. only a few lucky survive this phenomenon. they are the 1%. this is the reason for "occupy."

yes, most of these youth are euro american form 3rd generation families, however there are new chinese immigrants with a new sense of entitlement landing on our shores and buying out the country, businesses, housing, taking over old neighbourhoods, euro-centric canadians are becoming the new indians..
