Problem is, those Red states that would want to leave get more money from the Federal government than they send in. The South is too poor to make it on their own. But, yeah, I'd love for them to take a flying leap.

yep. that is just like in canada
french quebec receives ten times the transfer funds
than all the other provinces
ontario is the province of money laundering like washington dc
whereas most of the income comes from western provinces, such as forestry in BC, agriculture in saskatchewan and oil industry in alberta
the eastern seaboard here is also too poor to make it on their own as well

i find it ironic that the american election is right on guy fawkes day ))
