(Hey it's Hannah with a useless internet connection not being able to log in! But there is nothing like something to do with books pulling me onto the internet!)

3. The Demon's Lexicon - Sarah Rees Brennan (oh yeah!)

11. Sabriel - Garth Nix (although I might dispute that if you can count the prologue as part of the book?)

12. Artemis Fowl - Eoin Colfer

When I get Pol back, I am going to have to do this meme myself! (That is if all of my favourite books haven't already been done by my my f-list!)

Yes, I had a debate over the Prologue, but I thought it was too easy, since it goes on about the Wall and the Old Kingdom. XD

Same for Artemis Fowl, which starts with a sentence about Artemis.

1. The King of Attolia, by Megan Whalen Turner, of course :D

5. Harry Potter and, um, the Prisoner of Azkaban? By JKR

7. The Betrayal of Bindy MacKenzie, By Jaclyn Moriarty! (And here I thought it had never gotten out of the S. Hemisphere)

8. Going Postal, Terry Pratchett

11. I have no idea, but would you mind PMing me or something and giving me the title? It sounds... intriguing.

12. Aremis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer :D

24 hours! Good luck!

I love Jaclyn Moriaty! But, oddly, up here it's called 'Being Bindy Mackenzie'. Not all of her books have been published here, there's a book inolving a.. um.. hot air balloon? I think... that my friend's dad brought back from Australia a few years ago.

Have a look above or below for #11 :D

Yes, I saw someone else identifying it as 'Being Bindy MacKenzie', and looked it up. The poor book has three different names; one for Australia, one for the UK and one for the US!

The one with the hot air balloon is called something to do with buttermilk pancakes (?!) I think, and is an adult book. She's done two more, Finding Cassie Crazy and Feeling Sorry for Celia. Celia is absolutely awesome, so if you can find a copy, go for it.

Number 11. Got it :D

I think I know most of them... maybe? rosaleeluann July 5 2009, 23:15:40 UTC
*not looking at other comments to see how many she can get right*

1. King of Attolia! That was my first thought, though I admit that I had to grab the book to be absolutely certain.

2. I'm going to hazard a guess at the Miles books, which I haven't finished and haven't looked at in a couple years. I'm planning on picking up where I left of in the next couple months, though, because I enjoyed those I read.

3. Demons Lexicon.

4. Bartimaeus Trilogy

5. Harry Potter? I want to say Prisoner of Azkaban... hmm.

6. No idea. I'm going to say.... Lord Peter Whimsey, just so I can say I tried.

7. I've got nuthin.

8. I am intrigued! I'd rather like to read the rest of whatever this is...

9. Again, no idea.

10. Spindle's End! Robin Mckinley FTW!

11. Sabriel

12. dunno

How'd I do?

I'd say 5/12 - four right, and two placed in the right series. :D

Well done!

Is that all you got or did you leave out ones that other people got?

I left out the ones that other people got. And what do you mean, terrible? (re. Chalet School, that is.) THEY ARE WONDERFUL. Um. Sort of.
