I wants a Blackberry, and have decided that what with my raise coming on July 1, I can afford it. So: YE WITH BLACKBERRIES (not iphones, as i'm not switching to ATT) tell me what you think (and what model/models you've had) What are the worst drawbacks? And so on. Anything you wish you'd known before you got it?

I do not have a Blackberry, as I'm one of those I-might-as-well-use-a-laptop-then people. However, I've witnessed enough ass dialing and damaged keyboards, that this might be a case where full frontal nudity is a bad thing. So perhaps you might want to consider one of those new flip Blackberries. Afaik, they make two, one with wifi and more support for international networks, and another one with GPS, but not one with both.

The BlackBerry Curve is quite possibly the most solid BlackBerry that RIM has ever made. It's also coincidentally available on pretty much every major carrier, so whoever you're on, you'll probably find the Curve. It's lightweight, easy to use, got a good size keyboard and a decent camera. Truly the first BlackBerry made to be used by practically anyone. The thing is resilient too. My sister dropped hers in a toilet, let it dry out for a week and the thing is still working today ( ... )
