Interesting take on Dean. I tend to think that he was always the best at fighting and hustling but you give it a twist. And then to show how he might have turned the idea of getting beat up into what he deserved--really made me think.

I could totally see these happening. I don't think you paint a totally bleak picture of John. We know he wasn't a saint - the low blow comment about the Impala in Dead Man's Blood is proof of that - and I feel echoes of it here. It seems very in character to me that Dean would focus on perhaps the few times John said he was disappointed and not the many times he may have said he was proud...

Awesome! XD I just know how some fans think of him; like he's the worst father that ever existed, and there's just a fine line in fiction to have him come across as something in the middle. I'm glad you were able see what I meant. :) Thank you. That Dean seems in character is always the best compliment to me. XD
