The trip to Serbia sounds wonderful. Are you prepared for "cultural immersion"? Heck, I wasn't prepared for cultural immersion when I moved to Mpls...

Convergence has replace a lot of what the big Minicons were, but not all of it. I find that everyone at CVG is a little connected merely by being there, but often the groups are their own fiefdom. It's sometimes hard to find like-minded people if there's not already some sort of party or event to your interest. Fortunately, there are a lot of parties and events to find people at. A step up from Speed Dating, and faster.
