A friendly visit!

Oct 07, 2013 02:16

Ira had a day off, a nice fall weekend to himself. Ira loved October, the beautiful leaves and the slight chill in the air. After waking up early, he realized what he really wanted was to visit someone special. After calling Will to ask if he could stop by, Ira took a walk. He bought a little basket for the walk. He stopped at a small bakery to ( Read more... )

From what Will has seen of the day - and he hasn't seen much, only leaving in order to pick up coffee for he and Zoe - it was a lovely day. He made a mental note to get out before sundown so that he can enjoy the crisp Fall air, taking the chance to act like a kid again, crunching through the fallen leaves that litter the sidewalk of his neighborhood. But first, work. And then a phone call from Ira, which makes the day all the better.

He didn't require anything special from Ira in order to make him happy, so his visit and sandwiches were more than enough. The candy is a nice touch, because who didn't love candy? It was the time of year when everybody looked forward to mostly treats and few tricks. He's in the back when Ira arrived, and Zoe told him so, to go right ahead and go back, happy to be help.

"Believe me, I know, and I trust you. I just haven't had to do this meeting friends thing in a long time. You'll be there, and I'll be fine." He smiles all the wider as Ira moves closer, and he's happy to return the kiss. If this was important to Ira, than Will would make damn sure that he was there. They're of a similar mindset about where they are in life, although Will had never really had a party stage. He just wants something that he knows will last for the long haul. He thinks he's got that with Ira. "We can invite her, sure. I'm sure she'd love to come along."

"I talk about you all the time. At work and at home." Lately, Will has inspired Ira at work too. This chapter he's embarked on with Will has felt exciting. Ira stole one more kiss. "We'll invite her. I am feeling so good about this. Now, I'm here because it is my first day off in awhile, but I'm a bit clueless as to what to do with myself. Is there anything you need done around here? I swear I have a steady hand. If you need any volunteering I'm free."

Will's cheeks just flush all the more pink when he hears that, pleased to know that he's that much a part of Ira's life. After all, some people kept their relationships and their real lives separate. To know that he's got such a huge place, well, it only just proves all the more that this is exactly what he wants to be doing. "I don't know about you, but I'm interested in more kissing. But if you'd like, I can definitely find something for you to do."

"Do you realize we've known each other for a year now?" he smiled and kissed his boyfriend again. Why work, when he can chat and make out with a handsome man. He touched Will's hair affectionately again, Ira did love good hair. "A whole year. I say this now because clearly we have kissing time to make up for. We've only been dating for a minute."

"I know," he answers, happy to be kissed, and to return the kisses as well. "I only wish that I had made a move sooner than I did. Although," he chuckles, his eyes glinting with amusement, "I think I'm going to enjoy how we make up for lost time. And by the time next year rolls around, hopefully we've managed to catch up with it."

"No, I think our timing was perfect." There were times when they would circle each other, will they or wont they, but that is half the fun. Will had Ira worried. Ira laughed softly, kissing one just one more. He touched his hair still, he felt so tickled that Will thought of a next year. "You think you'll enjoy how we make up for lost time? I need to change that."

That's certainly true enough, especially for a man who believed that things happened in their right time. Still, though, if Will would have had any idea at the beginning that they'd end up like this, maybe he would have made a move well before they actually had. Will's thought of ... far more than just one year together. The truth is, he wants this to go for the long haul. "I know we'll have fun making up for lost time."

"We should have a weekend in. Just us, an apartment, Netflix and very little clothing." Ira laughed softly, his smile reaching to his eyes. He kissed Will again, it was a quick, loving little peck. This was one habit he could be okay with. He may need a new tube of chap stick.

"You make me happy, and I know for certain it isn't just that honeymoon phase." Ira has only had that once before with another person. Most strive for happiness, and it wasn't that Ira wasn't unhappy before Will. He was, but now that he had Will it was a new piece to the puzzle. "You need to finish lunch. I am hogging too much of your time."

Will grins all the wider, nodding along eagerly. "You know, that sounds absolutely perfect," and then he's being kissed again, which he doesn't mind in the slightest. Feels too good to complain about, and honestly, he loves the way that they both can't quite seem to get enough of each other.

Will couldn't help but agree - before Ira, he'd been perfectly fine with the way that his life was unfolding. Lonely, a little, but happy with his job, and happy with having Zoe as employee-slash-family, but now that he had Ira, he knew just what he was missing. "I think it might be fair to say that this might last longer than the honeymoon stage. So I'm hoping. You don't have to go, but if you've got other things to do - I'll be seeing you later, anyway."

"I am a true homebody. I make sweat pants look good." In Ira's opinion, most men looked good in sweat pants. Its his favorite look on guys. "I hope we make a weekend date. Are you looking forward to Thanksgiving?"

"Oh, definitely. We will surpass the honeymoon."Ira wish he could say it out loud- Just how happy he was. He didn't want to seem crazy, or rather too crazy about Will. He knew somewhere inside that Will could be long term. Ira felt hopeful, and that was a big deal. He pulled back, and walked around the room. He is looking, but he doesn't dare touch. He liked to visit that camera piece Will showed him last year. "No, I just want you to enjoy your lunch. What kind of boyfriend am I if I bring you lunch but don't let you eat?"

"Ira," Will starts, laughing softly, "you could make a paper bag look good." But sweats, yeah, Will would have to agree, make a person somehow all the more attractive. Maybe it's the fact that they're so relaxed? In any case, that's just another thing that the two of them have in common. "Of course I am. Got plans, or ... you want to spend it together?"

It wouldn't sound crazy at all, honestly, because Will feels exactly the same. He's never been happier. He's never believed that he deserves to feel so happy, and then Ira came into his shop and into his life and ... it's wonderful. Completely, utterly wonderful. He very much wants for this to be a long-term thing - and he means long-term as in years. Years and years and years, if he was lucky. And he watches, continuing to take quick little bites, knowing that if he keeps on distracting himself, he'll never finish eating. "I wish I could say that I could manage to make myself eat, but the truth is that I'd much rather spend my time focusing on you."

Ira laughed softly, "maybe next Halloween I'll be Paper bag Boy! I'll be like Charlie Brown." He continued to look at the the random antiques. He only touched the glass cases, tracing his fingertips along the surface. He paused and turned to look at his boyfriend. "I didn't have plans. I bought a small turkey and some of the other necessities, and a few bottles of wine," he chuckled softly, his eyes light. Oddly enough, the holidays don't really depress Ira. He does miss his mom, and his foster parents, but it doesn't ache like it has in the past. "My plan was to try and not burn my apartment complex down. I'd love to have you over, but if you have plans, a phone call would make me happy as well."

Ira stepped back over to Will, slipping behind his lover's chair. Gently, he touched Will's shoulders, and kissed the top of his head. His hands move to stroke over his chest too. "I would never object to that. Am I distracting you?"

"Like I said," Will chuckled, holding his hand in front of his mouth so that he isn't being rude, "you'd make it look good. We've got plenty of time to figure out what we're doing and what we're gonna wear. I'd rather you not hide that gorgeous smile, though." He tried to hurry and finish his food, and not because he minded Ira looking at the antiques in the back, but because he didn't want to sit and do nothing when there was time to be spent just ... being together. "Mm, so ... I could make a few pies? Pumpkin, maybe, and a pecan. We'll have a nice Thanksgiving in."

He had no plans, even though Zoe would happily take him in, along with her collection of friends, if he just said the word. This year, though, he wanted to spend the time with the most important person in his life, and that was Ira. He laughed softly, shaking his head even as he attempted to lean back against Ira's chest more. "Not at all. I enjoy your company, you know that."

Ira felt himself blush again, and yes it caused him to smile. That smile Will complimented. Ira would need to get used to this, he would need to adjust to having a good boyfriend. For Will, and because of Will, Ira would smile more. The talk of pie really alerted Ira, turning his attention back to his love. The best way to Ira's heart is through desserts. "Pumpkin? I love pumpkin. With whipped cream?"

It doesn't settle in quite yet, that this is their first holiday as a couple. "I am going to take so many photos," it's for the best that Will become comfortable with the camera. He gently rubbed Will's chest, imagining him shirtless. He could even feel it, but it helped that he spent a lot of time around naked Will. He traced a finger along the button of his shirt. He leaned in close to kiss Will's ear, speaking softly. "Mmm. I enjoy your company too."

Will likes Ira's smile - he likes making Ira smile, and he's come to enjoy making him blush, as well. Of course, the things that he says, and the compliements that he give aren't made up - he really does mean every single thing that he says. Truly, he just likes being able to make Ira happy. He chuckles, nodding slowly. "I can do pumpkin. I'll even make the whipped cream myself." Will might not be a gourmet chef, but he's pretty confident and capable in the kitchen.

It's ... nice. The knowledge that this is the first holiday together, and hopefully not the last. He laughs all the louder - "I'll be sure to look nice, then. And I won't gorge myself silly on dinner." Or he might, hoping that Ira catches him at his best rather than at his worst. He hums happily, glad that Zoe knows that if the door's closed back here, not to interrupt. Not that he'd be embarrassed to be caught while kissing Ira, but ... if things went any further ... well, those things aren't mean for anyone else's eyes. "I hope so, we spend enough time together."
