Hurricane update

Talked to mom last night. Other than some blustering wind and rain, the hurricane never really materialized as such. This is good news. Mom managed to get her shutters up by herself (some are 10 feet tall), and is now questioning taking them back down, debating the chances of another storm soon versus living in a cave. Heh

Yep. I get my 11 days off by starting the year. I'd rather get things on a good foundation before going out anyway.

Ahhh storm shutters... I made the mistake of putting them up and then swore that if the storm was anything less than a 3 they'd stay in the closet. What a pain those things were... especially on the 3rd floor.

I'm sure they'd be a pain! I've seen automated kind but I'll bet they're pricey.
