I honestly loathe 2 of the films you have on this list--- I Heart Huckabees (so pretentious, that film), and Penelope (ditto) but everything else that I've watched is SO MUCH LOVE.

I need to check out Stranger than Fiction, City of Ember and Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy .

I recently watched Mr. Magorium's Magical Emporium and I couldn't believe how much I loved it. I cried so much towards the end.
