State of Play: Ensemble Picspam
There’s nothing new about me falling in love with British dramas. My favourite movies, television shows and actors have always been from the country on the other side of the world. So it came as no surprise when my friend recommended watching State of Play and I immediately fell in love. I adore Philip Glenister beyond compare, think John Simm is equally wonderful and somehow David Morrisey has succeeded in almost stealing my heart from David Tennant in Blackpool. However for the first time in a long time, probably ever, it was the ensemble cast of a series that captured my attention. I’ve always loved stories and characters, but it’s always been just one or two that I’ve followed religiously onscreen, therefore it came as quite a pleasant surprise when I feel head over heels for the wonderful ensemble of this brilliant drama. So, my something different is dedicated to the wonderfully written characters in State of Play, portrayed by some of my old favourites and newly found, loved actors.
