Feeling Very Into Sisters Right Now (Practical Magic)

There is nothing about Practical Magic that I don't love. I own the movie, the soundtrack, and the first edition hardcover novel signed by Alice Hoffman herself! (I actually watched the movie before I read the book so it was pretty daunting to find that they were really different, but I love them both in their own special ways.) The movie is gorgeous and well-acted, perfect for those lazy Saturdays when it's pouring outside and all you want to do is curl up in bed and watch something that is genuinely heartwarming. The Owens sisters' dynamic makes you want to have someone who could be your mirror image like that and the scenes with self-stirring coffee spoons and Sally Owens lighting candles by blowing on them make you wish there was a little witch in you too. If it were made now, I'm sure the movie would've spawned a few really craptastic sequels and maybe a remake involving traveling pants so thank goodness for small favors. Anyway, considering how much I love it, I'm surprised that I didn't picspam this sooner.
