I have found the notebooks! Not without much running around panicking because they weren't in either of the two places I would have left them to keep them out of sight of visitors earlier this year. Except they were, just in a stack of other boxes.
I even seem to have at least some notes for a short story sequence I'd started writing just before I stopped being able to use a computer at all for several months.
Oh God, that desperate seeking sounds so familiar! There isn't a week something like that wouldn't happen to me, either with writing or with crafting. And I perform that madness on a mere 14 square metres, evenly distributed between two rooms. *g*
I'm glad you found the notebooks. I often find things are where I thought they were, but just hiding under something, but there's still that moment of panic and the looking everywhere else before I spot them.
I did some more work on that tiny ficlet, which is a sad one about smiles. It's strange how sometimes the very very small take as much work as much longer stories, but when every single word counts and has to be counted...
I also got a spooky idea last thing before bed. Scribbled it down and then tried to forget it till morning because I have learned the hard way that it is NOT a good idea to mull over spooky stories, even in a creative way, just before falling asleep and dreaming.
It's Day 3 now and I haven't written any words yet because I had to go out this morning. Well, I have written, but it's notes on paper so I can't count them until they're typed up.
On Day 2 I wrote 522 words, which is really good and brought me back on target.

The notes have now been typed up, so I can count them properly.
