Canal mania! A friend of mine moved to London and lives in a barge, it's such an odd thing to do but he seems very happy.

I live very near the canal in Leeds and have walked it a lot during the past few months. I actually walked from Leeds to Shipley about 18 months back which is about 12 miles :o

I lived in a narrow boat for the whole of 2018 and it was a life adventure. Wasn't perfect (someone tried to break in at one point) but it was definitely memorable! But London's canals now are overrun with boats, thanks to the housing crisis. I don't know how they'll solve that issue.

Do you watch Peaky Blinders? It's all Brummy criminals and canals and capers AND CILLIAN! I recommend it despite it being somewhat formulaic and overly stylized.
