I woke up from a dream where I was back living with him. Nothing special, nothing unusual - just our daily routines, how we hung out together, the music we played in the background, the books we read side by side in bed

21 years is certainly a long time. Life changes and we change with it don’t we? Sometimes not by choice, but by what life throws at us.

Absolutely - I think change is unavoidable! What makes life enjoyable is whether we can accept them, and roll with them, or not.

To be fair, we are very close. Perhaps we don't chat tons, and live far from each other now, but the feeling between us is very loving and I have no doubt it will feel very loving when we meet again.

This is so very sad. Twenty-one years is a long time together, only to wind up with separate lives.

In a way it's sad that the relationship didn't continue on, but the way it changed was truly the best for the both of us, and we have remained loving to each other, which I'm even more grateful for!
