The problem is that I have some unfinished business: I never qualified for Boston. My best time, ( Read more... )

Wow - so impressive that you've run 7 marathons! Unbelievable! Good luck training for Boston. What does a typical training week look like for you?

I'm actually building my training plan spreadsheet today. The bulk of the weeks will be about 40 miles (0 6 9 6 0 6 13), with long training run weeks peaking at around 50 miles. I'm going to try and mix things up a bit this time with more focus on speed to try and get my time down. Right now, I'm leaning toward spending one day each week doing Yasso 800s (http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-244-255-624-0,00.html).

If you're running a Boston, you have a place to stay here in Hopkinton!

Good luck.

Hartford in October would be good. If you miss it, you could squeeze in Cape Cod.

Plan to do the 20K in New Haven on Labor Day as a warm-up.

(I like the Woodbridge Running Company store.)

PS: sorry, we just sold our jogging stroller!

Thanks. I'll check out the Hartford course and the New Haven 20K sounds likely. I was also planning to check out the Woodbridge Running Company tomorrow, so I'm glad to get a recommendation.
