Ok, I think Colt McCoy put on his best "I wish I could be out there" acting job last night. I think he'll get scans and it'll look like a real shoulder injury... but if he hadn't won those other bowl games, if he wasn't a first round pick, he would have played. I agree. I mean, I get why he didn't play but I don't think the injury was all that serious. He barely got hit. I thought it was maybe a stinger or something at most. But what do I know?

I will say it was not smart of Alabama to put the English Department in to play defense during the third quarter, but at least it turned into a game. Without that QB fumble-turned-Tide-touchdown right then they could have lost it anyway. That kid might be a freshman but he has some game.

Mr. "I'm cryin cuz I can't feel my arm" was certainly clapping and holding his jersey with both hands DURING the game. That was a sad, Chris Simms-esque performance. Chris Simms was tougher as a Texas QB, actually.

The Alabama QB was never anything fantastic but WOW, he or the coaches really needed to work on some quicker passes. He looked terrible in the first half.
