various life thingies

Woke at 4.49. Couldn't resleep. Passed the time dozing and storyplanning. Finally, after a bad dream involving Doggo - Serena, our recently-deceased dog - being unable to walk and being rail-thin and being scared of me - I decided FUCKIT and got up.

Lots and lots and lots, these past few days. I'll break it into sections/subjects:

SCHOOL: in which Pico tells what her teaching schedule is like, in brief. )

chinese: a language made of pictures, this is a fucking long post, i'll just leave this here, various variouses, jobs, thoughtflinging, pico goes blah blah blah, journal-writing as therapy, pico's busy life!

This is a placeholder for thoughts I have, to be written sometime when it is not 10 o'clock at night.

Also, good to see you are alive, if somewhat stressed!

EDIT! I LOVE YOUR NEW ICON! I did not see that on my phone last night.

Hokay! I eagerly await these thoughts in their full and glorious culmination!

I am usually pretty happy to discover this fact myself.

Do you now? I got it off a post in the sounis comm, :D I likes it too :D

Weirdly, PowerPoint tech is a job that often includes lots of travel. I the last year we've sent ours to turkey, India, Mexico city, Buenos Aires, Montreal, and that's off the top of my head. Not much of a brain-using job, but working with a group of engaging people you really like can alleviate that.

Huh. Well, but it's working PPT stuff, right? I'm afraid that's not exactly up my alley - I learned all I needed to know about PPT when I was in seventh grade and they put the GT students in what was supposed to be cutting-edge tech classes but which in reality taught us how to powerpoint, how to do basic coding, and how to manipulate the directions on Learning Modules (but not how to enjoy doing the Modules).

So - not sure, sorry :T Even the group-of-people-you-really-like thing: I really like my chorus peeps, and yet I'm still planning to leave... it's just that if I don't do something with my brain I go all frghfrgh. D:

Long entry is long! But yes, I understand 100% feeling like you're not using your brain at your job. I wish I had something more constructive to say because I'm in the same boat, but I feel like you're figuring this out as you go. Yay for getting there? :D?

iknorite this is what happens when pico starts writing down what she's thinking

but ... yeah. Figuring it out as I go has sort of become a modus operendi for a lot of things for me. I prefer planning, but there's so many situations you can only prepare for, not plan for. Also, a quote from Madeleine L'Engle's Many Waters that is appropriate here: "you do not always have to do something." It drives me nuts sometimes, but it is true.

But writing it out is goood! :D

Planning is nice and helps in the long run, but I think Madeleine L'Engle has it right. (Also wowowow I need to reread those books now.)
