because this is the fifth time I have picked it up. (The previous four times I was ehn about it or got bored.) Finally read it, and rather liked it.

OH HEY, are you me? That is exactly what I did with that book.

Also, Let the Right One In = win. Still haven't seen the American remake though...

MAN you have read a lot this year already. And here I was, feeling accomplished having read three books...

Man, and it was a surprise to find I actually liked it! They're both authors who I know are good but whose styles alone are just -- not quite what I prefer to read, I guess. However, the combination of them together, plus the fact that it was kind of basically Christian Fanfic, just amused me and was very good. (I think there's something about Pterry's style that, when directed to his own characters, I'm not sure what to do with, but when in fic, is perfectly acceptable to me. Still gotta figure this one out.)

IT WAS BRILLIANT. I've only seen a couple other vampire flicks - Twilight was amusing and Interview with a Vampire was ehn (and Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula was a clusterfuck), but this one? This one was fantastic. Vampires are much more suited for Swedish winter than they are for New Orleans summer, I guess. :D

I don't think I really want to see the American remake. Screencaps assure me of what I presumed would happen: everyone is Hollywood-prettified, and i bet it isn't nearly as intense as LTROI.

...I almost wanna reread it. I haven't read any other stuff by Pterry but oh God I kind of love Neil Gaiman right now, not gonna lie.

YES. I daresay that vampires are the only thing suited for Swedish winter.

Me neither. Oi. And like, LTROI? I love it, but like, I just watched it with my friends in Sweden, and before that I'd seen it right when it came out in select theaters here in the US and that was a year or two ago, and just...yeah, I think I'm good for another year. It's one of those that I can't watch over and over.

:D Gaiman is a good author! Not quiet my style, but good!

(grin) I do love the starkness of it, though - There's something fascinating about a setting that completely dark, cold, and isolated like that. I dunno, it just seems to me like a good backdrop for interesting things to happen.

(nods) I got it for Christmas, and saw it a few days later. Just ... wow.

I am tempted to try one of these, just to see what comes out, but the sheer amount of media I absorb in even one month makes me think it would be a losing battle to try and record it.

And fun YA is fun! Will you be needing the other books, or are you done?

It would be neat~! But yeah, I know you watch more shows than I, and get more books read. So ... do as you will!

YESSSSS. I am a couple pages into Siege right now, and would I be able to pop by and do some exchanging? (And also talking because talking is fun :D) I'll call you later and find out times and availability.

I will contemplate on this.

Of course! I am very free all this week due to recovery. Just give me a call. Or show up. That works too.
