chutzpah? not sure if its only used in american english. it's roughly gutsiness or bravado or bravery. someone needs a lot of chutzpah to fight their way out of trouble when they know they're out of ammo or to do something etiquette says you can't... but get away with it anyway.

so might be useful for bluffing of determining it you can do something out of normal order.

Smarts? Or is Skill supposed to include brains and education already?

Connections? Wealth? Resources?

Wealth and connections are covered by the credits generated as a sponsor.

I think I'm putting smarts in with skill. I don't think anybody would consider Kaylee or Wash "smart" but they are incredibly talented at what they do. I wouldn't mind a more polished name but Skill works for now.

I did think about putting in a "grit" ability since "doing what needs to be done" is part of the genre, but again that largely falls under power. Although Grit might be a better name for it in the longterm.

So all good ideas, but nothing really sings. Also, if I go to a 4th ability I have to use a different template and I've already had to swap things around to fit in a 3rd mission trait. I'll print out some samples for the next playtest (a very different list to any we've tried before) so we'll see how it goes.
