ELIMINATE
#01 - The texture used overpowers the icon + masks the subject. This base image was beautiful, floaty + light & the icon has darkened it too much. The crop is nice however.
#11 - the overly blue tone to the icon does not compliment the subject, the icon is also oversharpened: this is most obvious on his face
#12 - the crop is awkward it looks as though she's ducking to fit in. The text overpowers the subject + the side textures only emphasize the crop problems. I love the bold pink though.

FAVORITE
#17 - though it could benefit from a little contrast, the crop + colour is lovely & creative.
#16 - Beautiful crop + colour. The text is a bit overpowering but compliments the white in her eye.

ELIMINATE
#01 - The icon is extremely dark all over - the middle bit isn't light enough to properly make out what's going on.
#05 - A bit oversharp - her face looks rather pixellated.
#13 - The coloring is a bit too pink for the image - the red dress would pop more if the coloring was a bit more neutral. The shadowy-bright edges distract from the focus of the icon.

FAVORITE
#02 - The beauty is in the simplicity. Lovely coloring and cropping, great use of rounded corners.
#17 - Really lovely choice of photo and crop.

#02 - There's a bit too much pink/orange in the icon's colouring.
#07 - All these icons are fabulous, so my reasons are going to get really awful, but I just think this icon needs more. Be it more vibrant colouring, a more interesting crop, textures, text.
#10- The person's face looks a bit too orange, which makes it blend in with their hair a bit too.

FAVORITE
#04- Really great crop with lots of negative space, and great colouring too.
#24 - Great colouring and texture use on the sides. And it fits the theme very well.

I just noticed, your second favorite is #24, but there's only 17 icons.... :\ I'm posting results now, so if you can change this in time I'll count your vote, but otherwise I can't.

ELIMINATE
#01 - Coloring is very dark and the small cropping makes it difficult to place the celeb. Could also be a bit sharpened as the icon seems a bit undefined.
#04 - A bit blurry. The single pixel black line along the left side looks to be user error, but is distracting nonetheless.
#10 - Contrast seems a bit high. Cropping is a touch awkward cutting half the top of her hair off.

FAVORITE
#03 - The orange/black theme works really well and I love the clarity of the suit in contrast with the background.
#13 - Coloring is a teeny bit pale, but the cropping and centeralized subject are implemented well
