Why isn't the voting here screened?
So that the Icon Maker can see the votes for themselves, and read all the reasons given for a particular choice. If it were only the Mods who could read the comments, there would be little point to this community.

I could be wrong of course, but isn't it so that people vote in the comments on the posts with the icons? If so, you can screen the comments, because the one who made the posts will be able to see the comments as well as the maintainers. If I'm not mistaken... :)

okay so i submitted my icons.. (however poor they are.. hey i'm new at it..lol) and i have animated icons.. and when voting on others batches..they don't.. can we have animated icons??

I don't think that you made it particularly clear that the Header Contest is separate from the Icon Batches. Maybe a question like "What is the Header Contest and how do I take part?" Because are you actually entering one header, or a batch of them? I'm not so clear on that. x.x

The header is created from the batch of icons, like the current header. So, while the contest and all voting is seperate, it's the batches of icons that are being entered into it if the icon maker wishes to participate.

I think the confusion is that you're applying header contests from other iContests to our Header contest. Nope. The icon maker doesn't actually *create* the header, a mod will put the header together out of the icons. It's the content of the header that's up for nomination and voting.

A lot of this will become clearer once the first header contest is held, and there's something to reference :)

Hello. I just had an idea that I thought I would pass along to you.

Is it possible that there could be a post with a list of those who need votes for their icons and a link to their posts made each week, like the ones who only have three or fewer votes? I ask because I know I, personally, am struggling to gain more votes at my post, and I think it would be helpful to people who need to get votes in to know who still needs votes.

I list the batches with under 5 votes at the final call, a few days before voting closes (voting runs for a week). You can see the final call with voting request here.

I could do one at the beginning of voting too. ^^

Can I include icons that have swearing in them? It's a movie quote, not sure if that's "adult" or not. Thanks so much! :)

Mild swearing, which will be up to the mod's discretion, and you must put it under the lj-cut with a warning.
