Hurrah! My (other and somewhat secret) favorite pairing gets an update! I'm really looking forward to the rest of this, and I have to say that Booth is a really awesome surprise.

And, hey, nice twist on canon. Very inspired.

When this started off with the floating "Came the husky whisper in his ear" and "her blue eyes shinning with mirth," I pretty much knew what I was in for. You probably needed to give this a once-over for those kinds of obvious errors before you posted.

There is a *lot* of use of extraneous detail like mountains and cities, Lamb's briefcase model, how things smell and people's eye colors, and yet no actual characterization, no depth or detail applying to *them*, and that made the story feel imbalanced. Plus, when we know that Lamb's childhood was rocky, endowing him with a magically awesome adopted family without *any* explanation also didn't track.
