You did it! Even late, you did it (which is more than I've managed so far). Also, I love this. Dusty yearning and the edge of hope, and needless to say I would like so much more of it, though it's a very nice 1000 words indeed... Okay, now I'm all yearning for more words. *g*

Awww. One of my nostalgia fandoms! I really like the atmosphere in this, and I like the fact that although Dogle doesn't get what he want he still has faith.

It's a lovely piece of writing and I don't even like AUs... but then it was the sort of AU where they were still essentially still them and not mimes, could even in fact be up to no good for an earlier version of CI5.

Anyway, I really enjoyed it and how well you captured the heat and the dust.
