I have neither seen nor have any intention of ever seeing TwigletTwilight. But yeah, that's pretty much the impression I got of it from watching the trailer.

I have no desire to read these books or watch the films. Why can't they make movies out of Tammy Pierce's books, where teenage girls kick ass and take names and screw up and screw around and grow into intelligent, independent adults? Or is that not what people want to watch these days?

I recommend them. They were my "Harry Potter" when I was 13, and I still love them. Start with "Alanna, the First Adventure". That's where Tammy started. She has 24 books in all now, I believe.
